The Best Business Books to Read in 2025

December 23, 2024

As we head into the new year, you may be feeling inspired to set some reading goals for both personal and professional growth. And if you haven’t done this already, consider this a sign!

One of the variables to success is learning. The results you’re getting in your business right now are perfectly designed by the business owner you are today. To have the business you want to have, you’ve got to learn new skills to become the business owner you need to be to run that business.

Reading is a vital key to unlocking a wealth of knowledge and new perspectives, especially in the world of business.

Each year, I finish at least one business or personal growth book per month. The books I choose depend on whether I'm looking for fresh business insights, what I’m focusing on in my own business and what I want to learn, as well as topics that just interest me.

I put together a list of my top reads and re-reads this past year that I recommend for any business owner, leader or entrepreneur, organized by subject.

Good news–the business books are linked too! Treat yourself or your colleagues to some belated holiday gifts that will be put to good use in the new year.

‣ Secrets of the Millionaire Mind | T. Harv Eker

Key Idea: Your mindset and beliefs about money shape your financial reality. Success is often more about mindset and psychology than external circumstances.

‣ The STOP Method | Crystal Noell

Key Idea: You have the power to reduce stress and make more mindful decisions with a simple, yet powerful, process–allowing you to interrupt negative or overwhelming thoughts. And I know personally that running a business can certainly render many of those!

‣ $100M Leads | Alex Hormozi

Key Idea: Quality of leads over quantity, always. Your business will find more success by focusing on attracting highly targeted, high-value prospects who are most likely to convert into paying customers.

‣ From 6-7 Figures | Alex Netzley

Key Idea: Just working harder or more hours will not achieve consistent business growth. You must be strategic in the way you optimize your business for efficiency and leverage your time and resources to provide the most value.

‣ Clone Yourself | Jeff Hilderman

Key Idea: With the right people and systems in place, you can leverage their skills, time and expertise while streamlining your operations – which is ultimately even better than having the magic ability to clone yourself (though wouldn’t that be cool too?).

‣ Scale | Jeff Hoffman & David Finkel

Key Idea: Sustainable growth for long-term success requires setting up the right frameworks and processes to scale intelligently. The key is working smarter, not just harder.

‣ Scaling Up | Verne Harnish

Key Idea: Businesses can achieve sustainable growth by mastering four critical areas: People, Strategy, Execution, and Cash. I've read this book about three times now, and it continues to provide straightforward tools to help businesses stay focused, organized, and profitable as they grow.

‣ The 4 C’s Formula | Dan Sullivan

Key Idea: Success follows a progressive loop. Once you master the four elements (making a commitment, building courage to take action, developing capabilities, and gaining confidence from your results), you will naturally find yourself on a continuous cycle of growth–with endless possibilities!

‣ All it Takes is a Goal | Jon Acuff

Key Idea: Simply having a goal isn’t enough. You must learn how to break your goals down into clear, manageable steps, while also being committed and flexible in your approach.

‣ The Third Door | Alex Banayan

Key Idea: Don’t be afraid to break the rules and think outside the box to create opportunities for yourself. There’s always a unique way to success, if you’re willing to find it.

Key Idea: Achieving success is often more difficult than it needs to be. Removing unnecessary friction, simplifying processes, and focusing on what truly matters will allow life to feel effortless.
