I'm here, because I've been there.

As an elementary school teacher turned entrepreneur, with zero funding or experience I started a business in 2009. I grew it to 7-figures, eventually selling it.

A million mistakes were made along the way, and every one of them was a gift, but I'll tell you more about those later!

I knew I wanted my business to work for me, and I knew I wanted to take it to the next level, but couldn't do it by myself. In 2015, I hired a business coach and that’s when everything changed.

These Are The Moments

I became an entrepreneur.

I'd been doing brand ambassador work through an agency for several years and an opportunity presented itself for me to work directly with a brand. While juggling my full-time career at SDSU and brand ambassador work, the agency's client demand increased to where I began subcontracting friends. Mirus Promotions was born! I believed that "passive income" was around the corner. HA! Was I ever wrong.

I quit my job!

While working full-time, getting a Master's degree, and running Mirus Promotions, I reached a point where something had to give. I weighed my options and risk and decided to leave and go full-force with Mirus. I've never looked back and couldn't imagine my life any other way.

I had no idea what I was doing.

I grew the company organically. I had no idea what my numbers were or how to use that information to make decisions in the business. Though revenue was growing about 13% year over year, I had NO idea what my profit was. I had no employees, hundreds of brand ambassadors, and struggled with overwhelm daily.

I hired a coach and saved my life.

This was a HUGE leap. I committed to a business growth plan that scared me, and it paid off immediately. Revenue doubled, increased net profit, hired 6 people the first year, and more to come!

This is what business was made for.

The company reached a point where we could create jobs and opportunities for so many wonderful team members. The business paid for the wedding of our dreams, the birth of our child, vacations, and I walked away from the company for 2 entire months while it kept growing!

I got out of my own way.

We completed a business model overhaul where we developed 3 distinct departments and established leaders of each department to run the day-to-day. This allowed me to work just 3 days a week and spend quality time with my growing son.

I sold the majority assets of my company. This came years before I had planned but at the absolute perfect time.
This allowed me to focus all of my efforts, expertise, and passion to helping other business owners reach their dream destination.
